Véyé organises their day-to-day care — regular visits, medical coordination — and sends you a report after every visit. Every week, you know they are doing well.

Life as a long-distance family

01

The Sunday video call doesn't tell you everything.

You can't see whether the medication is taken, the fridge is full, or their spirits are holding up.

02

Arranging care from Europe is a headache.

Time zones, nobody to check in person, no centralised follow-up.

03

Family on the island can't carry it all.

When there is one; many families no longer have anyone there.

The Véyé service

How it works

  1. We get to know you

A video call with you + a free assessment visit to your parent. You then receive a personalised care plan.

  2. We watch over them

One to three visits a week depending on the plan, about 1½ hours each. Coordination of medical appointments, management of home carers (nurse, home help, physiotherapist).

  3. You know

After every visit, a photo report + checklist (meals, medication, physical shape, mood) straight to your phone.

What you receive — example

Véyé · family line

Tuesday, 12:04

photo from the visit

  • Meals eaten, fridge restocked
  • Week's medication prepared
  • Physical shape: good, walked in the garden
  • Mood: smiling, talked about you

Physio appointment confirmed for Thursday 2pm, I'll go along with Mrs R. Blood pressure: nothing to report.

During the visit

A visit lasts 1½ hours

Long enough not to be rushed. The order and the timing shift from one day to the next, but every visit has these four moments.

about 30 min

We catch up

  • How they are: sleep, appetite, spirits
  • What has changed since last time
  • Time to sit down and talk, without watching the clock

about 20 min

We check the essentials

  • The week's pill box, prepared and checked
  • The fridge and the use-by dates
  • Shopping running low, prescriptions about to run out

about 20 min

We tidy up a little

  • A quick sweep or vacuum in the living areas
  • Washing-up left out, the bin taken out
  • Anything that causes falls: a slipping rug, a cluttered hallway, a dead bulb

about 15 min

We tell you everything

  • Photos and checklist filled in on the spot
  • Green, amber or red, plus a note from the coordinator
  • Anything that needs a decision from you

Véyé remains a monitoring service: not full housekeeping, and not medical care. For those, we coordinate the right professionals — nurse, home help, physiotherapist, cleaner.

The Véyé app

Your parent's follow-up, always in your pocket

After every visit, a traffic light tells you the essentials at a glance: ● all is well, ● keep an eye, ● alert. And the whole history stays there, month after month.

A status you read in one glance

Green, orange or red: you know right away whether the visit went well — without reading a line.

The full history, filed and kept

Year, month, visit: find every past report and follow how things change over time.

The detail of every visit

Meals, medication, mood, condition, photos and the caregiver's note: tap a visit to see it all.

You can reply, and we read you

A notification reaches you whenever a report arrives. And you can reply: a question, something about your parent — we read you.

Your questions

Frequently asked questions

When does the service start?

We are launching gradually: families on the waiting list are contacted first, region by region.

Which regions of Mauritius do you cover?

At launch: Curepipe, Vacoas, Quatre Bornes, Rose Hill and surrounding areas. Other regions will follow based on demand (the form lets you tell us yours).

Are your carers medical professionals?

Our coordinators come from the healthcare sector (nursing / care-assistant backgrounds), but Véyé is a monitoring and coordination service, not a medical care provider. For medical procedures, we coordinate your parent's own healthcare professionals.

My parents don't want to be "watched over"

That's very common — which is exactly why the first visit is simply a chance to meet. Our coordinators become a familiar face, not an inspector. Many seniors end up looking forward to the visit.

How does payment work?

A monthly subscription in euros, by card or bank transfer, with no commitment.

What if my parent has a problem between two visits?

Véyé is not an emergency service: for a medical emergency, call SAMU Mauritius on 114. For everything else, every plan includes a family line: you flag a concern, and we arrange a visit.
